Ash Wood

A trim trunk plunges down into a slender waist, then swells into ample hips. Lean shoulders brim with athletic vigor. Long legs astride, she stands victorious. She is no naif; she is mater of the room.

Finishes

Light,
Ash

Our most natural finish is a transparent oil mixed with a small amount of white stain to achieve a light tone and matte appearance.

Safflower Red,
Ash

Safflower Red is a tribute to one of the oldest and most precious Japanese pigments, a brilliant red extracted from imported Chinese safflower and used in textiles, washi paper and even lipstick.

Black Red,
Ash

Black Red is a near-black finish with subtle crimson undertones, reminiscent of dark lacquered wood. Its shadowy surface changes readily in the light to reveal a lush warmth.

Lamp Black,
Ash

Lamp Black is named after a rich, blue-toned black pigment traditionally made with carbon soot collected from oil lamps, often seen in monochromatic paintings across East Asia.
